The photovoltaic surge protector safeguards solar systems from lightning-induced and switching operation transients. When high voltage threatens equipment insulation, the arrester immediately diverts the surge current to ground, limiting voltage amplitude and protecting equipment. After the overvoltage passes, the device quickly returns to normal operation.
