After completing a well, pumping tests should be conducted to verify results. A large drawdown pumping test should maintain stable water levels for at least eight hours while measuring flow rates. Construction sites must ensure proper drainage, making rainy seasons less ideal for drilling operations. Excavation slopes should be determined based on soil properties, typically at a 1:1.5 ratio, with adequate distance between spoil slopes and excavation openings. For wells with shaft wall water inflow, proper inlet hole and filter layer arrangements are critical to prevent blockages during construction.
