The Stab-In Float Collar and Shoe technique is an innovative method for cementing large diameter casings. This process involves inserting the drill pipe directly into the Float Shoe or Collar while pumping cement through the drill pipe until it reaches the surface. A wiper dart ensures proper cement placement by displacing it to the bottom of the drill pipe. After completion, the drill pipe is lifted, circulated for even distribution, and removed from the wellbore.
Note: Large plugs are essential when using this technique to separate cement from mud. Both plugs and any cement in the casing must be drilled out. This method is specifically designed for large diameter casings lowered using drill pipes, requiring careful attention due to significant volume displacement.
