Product Description
High Density Tungsten Heavy Alloy Part WNiCu Tungsten Alloys Parts
Tungsten Heavy Alloy Part is also called tungsten heavy alloys because tungsten alloys weigh more than twice as much as iron or steel. High specific gravity tungsten alloys are usually refractory metals composed of W-Ni-Fe or W-Ni-Cu or even W-Ni-Cu-Fe two-phase composites. Rare earths and/or other metals such as cobalt, molybdenum and chromium are added to some tungsten alloys. Heavy tungsten alloys have high melting points, are twice as dense as steel and more than 50 percent heavier than lead.

Tungsten Heavy Alloy Part Picture:
Introduction and characteristics of Tungsten Heavy Alloy Part
- The tungsten content of heavy tungsten alloys is 90% to 98%, which is responsible for their higher density (16.5 to 19.00g/cc). Nickel, iron and/or copper are used as metal adhesive substrates to hold the brittle tungsten particles together, making the tungsten alloy malleable and easy to work. Ferric nickel-nickel is the most commonly used additive with a ratio of 7Ni: 3Fe or 8Ni: 2Fe (by weight).
- A common method of preparing heavy tungsten alloys is to mix the desired amount of tungsten, iron, nickel or copper powder and then perform cold pressing and liquid phase sintering to near full density. During the liquid phase treatment, the base tungsten alloy melts and causes some tungsten to enter the solution, forming a microstructure through which large tungsten particles (20-60μm) are dispersed in the base alloy.
Application of Tungsten Heavy Alloy Part
- Thermoelectric generator is a fusion power device that uses radioactive isotopes. It can use high-density tungsten alloys as containers. Widely used in weather stations, light buoys, acoustic communication beacons, ocean research and other fields.
