CAS 65710-07-8 20% Injectio 40%SP Apramycin Sulfate
Product Description:
Apramycin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic useful against gram-negative bacteria such as E. coli and Salmonella species. It is used to study antibiotic resistance and protein synthesis translocation inhibition. Apramycin sulfate is freely soluble.
Aminoglycoside antibiotics are composed of amino groups attached to glycosides. They bind the 30s ribosomal subunit, causing misreading of the mRNA sequence and inhibition of translocation. Consequently, protein synthesis is inhibited.
Antibiotics are often used in clinical in vitro tests known as antimicrobial susceptibility tests or ASTs to determine their efficacy against certain bacterial species. They are tested against gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria using panels, discs, and MIC strips by medical microbiologists. ASTs decrease the risk of using an antibiotic against bacteria exhibiting resistance to it, and the results are used in clinical settings to determine which antibiotic(s) to prescribe for various infections.
It can be used for infections caused by e. coli, Salmonella and mycoplasma in chicke
Usage:
Ampresycin can be used for the prevention and treatment of escherichia coli and salmonellosis in poultry by drinking water, injection and mixed feeding. Poultry drinking water, adding 250 ~ 500 mg of this product (250 000 ~ 500 000 titer units) per liter of water, continuous use for 5 days, to prevent chicken escherichia coli disease and salmonellosis, 7 days before the market stop administration; Because the bioavailability of the drug after drinking water was only 11.0%, the protection rate of acute escherichia coli was limited. The method of water administration is more suitable for the control of intestinal infection or natural infection, and the treatment of systemic acute infection should be better by injection. Intramuscular injection of ampremycin at 10 mg/bird for 5 days, once daily, completely protected chickens from coliform and Salmonella typhimurium infection. Adding 5 g (5 million units) per 1000 kg of feed to broilers during the whole period of 0 to 6 weeks of age can promote the growth and increase the weight gain of broilers, especially in the early growth period (0 to 21 days of age).
