Product description
A screw conveyor is a mechanical device that uses rotating spiral blades to continuously transport materials along a material trough. It is widely used in agriculture, mining, building materials, grain and other industries. It consists of components such as a drive unit, a screw shaft, blades, a material trough, and inlet and outlet ports. It is driven by a motor to rotate the screw shaft, and the blades push the materials axially along the shaft to achieve transportation. It has the characteristics of a simple structure, small floor space, good sealing performance, and adjustable transportation direction (horizontal or inclined). It can efficiently transport granular, powdery or small block materials, but has a relatively weak adaptability to materials with high viscosity and easy agglomeration.
Working principle
The screw conveyor is driven by a driving device to rotate the screw shaft and the blades. The friction force between the blades and the materials, as well as the axial thrust, are utilized to convey the materials. The fixed material trough prevents the materials from rotating with the blades, forcing them to be discharged axially from the discharge port. It is suitable for granular, powdered, and other loose materials. The structure is simple and it can be transported horizontally or at an angle. However, it has relatively poor adaptability to materials with high viscosity and easy agglomeration.
