The Aerial BS215-2 Aluminium Conductor Steel Reinforced (ACSR) is designed for reliable power transmission in various environmental conditions. This composite conductor features a galvanized steel core surrounded by EC Grade Aluminum wires for optimal strength and conductivity.
- Maximum continuous operating temperature: 70°C
- Maximum stress at sag lowest point during rare climate conditions: ≤60% of short-time destructive power
- Installation requires uniform arc downing stress across all conductors
- Stress tolerance: 10-15% higher than regular stress within permissible crossing distances
ACSR conductors are widely used in power transmission lines across various voltage levels, featuring simple structure, easy installation and maintenance, cost-effectiveness, and high transmission capacity. Ideal for challenging terrains including river crossings, valleys, and areas with unique geographical features.
ACSR is a composite concentric-lay-stranded conductor with a galvanized steel core (single strand or concentric-stranded cable of 7, 19, 37 wires) surrounded by one or more layers of EC Grade Aluminum wires.
