Setup Procedure
- Inspect product before use. Do not use if packaging is not intact.
- Open sealed package and remove product.
- Connect Endotracheal Tube/Tracheostomy Tube to revolvable adapter.
- Connect ventilator tube to revolvable ventilator connector.
- Attach date label to color ring.
- Ensure MDI Port/irrigation Port cap is closed before suctioning.
- Before suctioning: Ensure on-off valve is in open position by sliding to allow catheter entry.
Suctioning Procedure
Caution: Always use recommended vacuum levels and consider suctioning time duration.
- Grip three-way adaptor with one hand and feed suction catheter into Endotracheal tube/Tracheostomy tube to required depth. Depth markers visible through protective cover.
- Once suction catheter is in desired position/depth, depress vacuum control valve to apply suction.
- Remove suction catheter until protective sleeve is straight.
- Repeat steps 1-3 as necessary for complete procedure.
