Shipbuilding steel plate also named as ship plate,marine steel plate,marine plate and shipbuilding plate,refers to hot-rolled steel for the manufacture of ship structures produced in accordance with the requirements of the construction society, mainly used to building vessels and ships.
AH36 Steel Plate is a high-strength, low-alloy hot-rolled steel plate, specially used for shipbuilding and marine engineering.The AH36 steel plate comes under the specification of ASTM A131/A131M grade. These plates have a good impact strength and work well in different marine ecosystems.
Definition
AH36 in accordance with the specification of the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), "A" means that the steel plate belongs to the ordinary strength marine steel plate series, "H" means high strength, and "36" means that its minimum yield strength is 36 ksi (about 250 MPa).
