SS Pipe Description
Stainless steel pipe is composed of elements such as chromium (Cr) and nickel (Ni), which can form a dense chromium oxide protective film on the surface to prevent further oxidation and corrosion.Stainless pipes show excellent corrosion resistance especially in acidic, alkaline and salt spray environments.
The addition of molybdenum, chromium, and nickel helps the stainless material to gain higher resistance from various corrosionand prevents pitting. While the chromium forms a oxidation layer acts like skin to the base metal protecting it from different crevicecorrosions. Thus it works well in halide containing environments and shows great performance even in aqueousconditions.
