410 Stainless Steel Properties
Type 410 stainless steel is a hardenable, martensitic stainless steel that combines superior wear resistance with excellent corrosion resistance. This grade features high strength, heat resistance, and good ductility, making it well-suited for highly stressed parts in mild atmospheres, steam, and mild chemical environments. Grade 410 is magnetic in both annealed and hardened conditions.
Applications
410 stainless steel is used in aerospace, automotive, petrochemical, and medical applications. It's also ideal for manufacturing springs, fasteners, cutlery, kitchen utensils, and hand tools due to its machinability after tempering or annealing.
