Startup Process
- Start fan and monitor for smooth operation
- Gradually open dampers to achieve required air volume
- Monitor motor current to prevent overload from excessive damper opening
- Measure bearing temperature, ensuring it doesn't exceed 40°C above ambient
Operational Monitoring
- Listen for abnormal sounds or friction during operation
- Check for loose mounting bolts
- Monitor bearing temperature and lubrication status
- Verify cooling water flow and temperature differential in pipes
- Inspect for bearing box oil leaks
- Ensure smooth rotation without abnormal bearing noise
- Monitor electrical current stability
Emergency Shutdown Conditions
- Severe operational noise detected
- Impeller-to-casing contact or friction
- Sudden increase in casing vibration
- Bearing temperature exceeding allowable range
