Core Functionality
The refining agent, also known as slag-refining agent, enables precise control of the five essential steel components: Carbon (C), Silicon (Si), Manganese (Mn), Phosphorus (P), and Sulfur (S). During the rough refining stage, traditional electric furnace steelmaking requires CaO addition for sulfur and carbon removal, while silicon and manganese are added for reduction reactions during refining.
