Photovoltaic Wire String Extrusion One-Step Extrusion Production Line 200m/min
PV Cable is a special connection cable in solar power generation system, used for series connection between components and power transmission from components to inverter. Its core value lies in:
Weather resistance: long-term exposure to ultraviolet (UV), high temperature (-40℃-120℃), humidity and chemical corrosion environment;
Safety: flame retardant, low smoke zero halogen (LSZH), reducing fire risks;
Electrical stability: low resistance design, reducing energy loss and improving system efficiency;
Applications:
Used for one-time extrusion of photovoltaic cable insulation and sheath, meeting the requirements of TUV and UL certification;
Main process parameters:
| Applicable conductor | φ1.8mm-φ7.0mm; |
| Finished outer diameter | φ3mm-φ10.0mm; |
| Maximum line speed | Max 250m/min; |
| Insulation/sheath material | LSOH/XLPE; |
| Extrusion capacity | 80mm auxiliary machine: 180kg/h (open head, low smoke halogen-free irradiation cross-linked material), screw L/D = 25:1 |
| Extrusion capacity | 90mm main machine: 240kg/h (open head, low smoke halogen-free irradiation cross-linked material), screw L/D = 25:1 |
Main Components of a Wire Extrusion Line
-
Pay-off Stand
- Holds and unwinds the bare conductor (e.g., copper or aluminum wire) for feeding into the extrusion process.
-
Straightener (optional)
- Ensures the wire is straightened before entering the extruder for uniform insulation.
-
Extruder
- The core component of the line.
- Melts and applies the insulation material (like PVC, PE, XLPE, etc.) uniformly around the conductor.
- Includes barrel, screw, and die head systems for precise material flow and coating.
-
Crosshead Die
- Shapes and centers the melted insulation material around the wire.
- Ensures consistent wall thickness and concentricity.
-
Cooling Trough (Water Trough)
- Rapidly cools the extruded wire to solidify the insulation.
- Typically uses water or air cooling systems.
-
Diameter Gauge (Laser Gauge)
- Measures the diameter of the insulated wire in real time.
- Helps maintain dimensional accuracy and quality control.
-
Spark Tester
- Detects insulation faults or pinholes by applying a high-voltage electric test.
-
Capstan (Caterpillar Haul-off)
- Pulls the wire through the extrusion line at a consistent speed.
- Ensures proper tension and synchronization.
-
Take-up Machine
- Collects the finished insulated wire onto a spool or drum for storage or further processing.
