1. Description:

The Falling Sand Abrasion Tester is used to test the wear resistance of organic coatings (such as aluminum-plastic composite panels or metallic paints, automotive paints, etc.) under standard conditions. Let sand particles of a certain size fall onto the test sample from a specified height through a conduit until the substrate is exposed. Weigh the amount of sand required to damage the paint film and evaluate the wear resistance of the paint film based on the standard amount of sand used per unit coating thickness.

The Falling Sand Abrasion Tester provided by Biaogeda Company is strictly manufactured in accordance with GB/T 23988-2009 "Determination of Abrasion Resistance of Coatings - Shakeout Method" and ASTM D 968.
