Product Introduction

This instrument is suitable for measuring the anti-crack resistance of leather and the grain crack index. It consists of a fixture, cylindrical rollers, and core rods, etc. The fixture rigidly holds one end of the test piece, and is equipped with a cylindrical roller perpendicular to the axis, with a diameter of (25.0 ± 0.5) mm. The position of the roller is adjustable relative to the position of the handle. The core rods meet the standard requirements.

Test principle

Place the leather sample on a known-diameter mandrel and bend it outward under the minimum force required to maintain contact between the leather and the mandrel. This process causes the leather to become fragmented. Rotate the handle by 180° within 5±1 seconds. Observe the fragmentation during the bending process and pay attention to any cracks. If necessary, repeat the test with another mandrel. If the resistance to cracking on a specific mandrel is confirmed, the result will be either pass or fail.
