Purpose/Strengths

This device is suitable for evaluating the water absorption of fibrous products with high water absorption and paper products. Place the lower end of the sample vertically into the water. Due to the capillary phenomenon, water will rise automatically. Measure the height of the water rise after 10 minutes and read it directly from the scale. The test standard for fibrous products is called "Byreck method", and the standard for paper products is called "Klemm method".

When conducting the fiber test, the sample width is required to be 25mm, and the water temperature should be 20 ± 2℃. For the paper test, the sample width is 15mm, and the water temperature should be 23 ± 1℃.

This machine does not have a water temperature adjustment control function, so before the test, you must confirm the water temperature in advance.
