Heat release quantity is the core parameter to evaluate the fire behavior of materials and products. TESTech's Cone Calorimeter meets all existing standards including ISO 5660, ASTM E 1354, ASTM E 1474, ASTM E 1740, ASTM F 1550, ASTM D 6113, NFPA 264, CAN ULC 135 and BS 476 Part 15.
This comprehensive equipment includes systems for heat release, mass loss, smoke generation, and more. Its modular design allows users to purchase components individually and add them to the same chamber, providing exceptional flexibility.
The Cone Calorimeter operates on the principle that burn calories are proportional to oxygen consumption (1kg oxygen consumption produces 13.1 MJ heat). It measures gas heat emission, ignition timing, oxygen consumption rate, CO/CO2 generation rate, and gas flow. The 19" touch screen DAQ system enables automatic testing while minimizing installation space.

Paramagnetic Oxygen Analyzer: 0-25% range with linear response; oxygen sensor technology.
Laser Smoke Density System: 0.5 mW helium-neon laser with primary and backup photodetectors, including positioning bracket and 0.3/0.8 neutral density filters for calibration.
High-Precision Load Sensor: 0-3000g range with 0.01g resolution (sample weight <500g).
Temperature Control: PID-controlled system with three 1mm thermocouples for radiation cone measurement and one armored thermocouple 100mm above orifice plate.
Exhaust Flow Measurement: Calculated via differential pressure across sharp-edge holes in 57mm±1mm exhaust pipe, with micro differential pressure transmitter positioned 350mm above fan transducer.
