Underground Direct Burial
The fibers (200/250μm) are positioned in a high modulus plastic loose tube filled with water-resistant compound. A steel wire (PE-sheathed for high fiber count cables) serves as the central strength member. Tubes are stranded around this member into a compact core, protected by Aluminum Polyethylene Laminate (APL) and filling compound against water ingress. The core is covered with a thin PE inner sheath, followed by PSP application and PE outer sheath.
