The probe mounts through a 3/4-16 UNF threaded boss and is sealed by a 22 mm hex flange 6 mm thick. Overall exposed probe length is 120 mm, allowing it to reach the optimum depth in both shallow header tanks and deep side tanks. The sensor incorporates a reed-switch and magnetic float assembly that changes state when coolant drops 40 mm below the normal level, providing a ground-switching signal rated 9–32 V DC and 0.3 A continuous current.

Material & performance features:

The probe body is precision-machined from corrosion-resistant brass and nickel-plated for long-term compatibility with ethylene-glycol, propylene-glycol and long-life organic-acid coolants. A closed-cell EPDM float rides on a stainless-steel guide shaft, ensuring stable buoyancy and freedom from swelling or degradation after thousands of thermal cycles. The reed switch is hermetically sealed in nitrogen and potted in epoxy, making it impervious to vibration, moisture and electromagnetic interference.
