Application:

These two numbers describe the same inlet (intake) valve: Navistar part 1826471C2 is the bare valve, while 1842913C1 is the latest superseded service assembly. The valve is fitted to Navistar DT466E / DT530E HEUI engines produced 1993-2003 and to Perkins 1300 / 1306-E76T, E76TA, E87T and E87TA industrial engines used in FG Wilson P275-P550 generator sets, JCB 456 wheeled loaders, Manitou MLT-X 1040 tele-handlers and Claas Lexion 600 combines.

Technical specifications:

Head diameter 47.0 mm, stem diameter 9.5 mm, overall length 167 mm, 45° seat angle, 0.8 mm margin thickness. Stem is chrome-plated 0.03 mm to reduce guide wear; tip is stellite-faced to 1.0 mm depth for 55 HRC hardness against rocker wear. Valve is validated for 24 000 h at 450 °C face temperature and 220 bar cylinder pressure.

Material & performance features:

The head is forged from 21-4N (Ni-Cr-Mn) austenitic stainless steel, solution-treated at 1 150 °C and aged at 750 °C to achieve 30 HRC strength with 35 % elongation. Chrome-plated stem gives <0.3 µm surface finish, cutting guide wear by 40 %.
