In oil and gas field fracturing operation, polyacrylamide is used as thickening agent for fracturing fluid to increase the viscosity of the fracturing fluid, so that it can bring fracturing sand into the fracture more effectively. And keep the fracture open to increase oil and gas production.

• Improve Oil Recovery: Polyacrylamide as a thickener can increase the viscosity of water and oil. Improving the water-oil flow ratio, to form a high-viscosity oil displacing agent. Promoting the flow of crude oil in oil wells, so that more crude oil is driven out and the recovery rate is increased.
• In tertiary oil recovery, one of the most widely used applications is ultra-partially hydrolyzed high molecular weight polyacrylamide (HPAM). Oilfield sewage treatment, polyacrylamide is an important class of synthetic organic polymer flocculants. Compared with traditional inorganic flocculants, polyacrylamide has the advantages of more varieties, high flocculation efficiency and less sludge generation.
