Wet Grinding Ball Mill

1.Product Introduction

The Wet Ball Mill is a horizontal cylindrical rotating device that uses steel balls as grinding media to perform wet grinding of materials in a slurry environment. Its structure primarily consists of a cylinder, liners, a transmission device, and hollow shafts for feeding and discharging. It is widely used in mineral processing, construction materials, and chemical industries, and is especially suitable for materials that require slurry preparation or high-fineness grinding.

2.Application

• Mineral Processing: Fine grinding of non-ferrous and ferrous metal ores such as gold, silver, copper, lead, zinc, molybdenum, tungsten, and manganese iron.
• Non-Metallic Mineral Processing: Grinding of graphite, feldspar, potash feldspar, phosphate rock, fluorite, clay, bentonite, etc.
• Industrial Raw Material Preparation: Fine grinding of raw materials for cement, silicate products, glass, ceramics, and fertilizers.
• Laboratory & Small-Scale Production: Preparation of micron-level (e.g., $0.1mu m$) powders for chemistry, electronics, and new material R&D.

3.Working Principle

1. Feeding: Material is fed uniformly and spirally into the cylinder through the hollow shaft at the intake end.
2. Grinding: As the cylinder rotates, the steel balls are lifted to a certain height by centrifugal and frictional forces and then dropped, creating an impact crushing effect on the material. Simultaneously, sliding friction between the steel balls and between the balls and the cylinder wall achieves the grinding effect.
3.  Classification & Discharge: The material moves from the intake end toward the discharge end. The ground slurry overflows naturally (overflow type) when the liquid level exceeds the lower edge of the discharge hollow shaft. Some models utilize a grate plate for forced discharge (grid type). The hollow shaft is equipped with reverse spiral blades to return coarse particles and steel balls back into the mill for further grinding.

• Strong Adaptability: It can process ores ranging from medium to high hardness. Product fineness can be flexibly controlled by adjusting the steel ball grading, rotation speed, and filling rate.
