4A Duplex Stainless Steel—Its ferritic-austenitic duplex structure delivers nearly twice the strength of 304 and vastly superior resistance to chloride ion pitting corrosion. This isn’t just an upgrade—it’s a game-changer. The valve body and disc are crafted entirely from 4A duplex steel, making them inherently resistant to chlorine. Offshore platform decks, desalination concentrate pipelines, ballast water systems, and coastal power plant cooling water—operating conditions with chloride ion concentrations as high as tens of thousands of ppm are just business as usual for this material. Carbon steel rusts through in a matter of days, and ordinary austenitic stainless steel is riddled with pitting corrosion, yet this material remains unscathed.
Product Advantages
● The hard sealing surface boasts high hardness; when exposed to sand-laden seawater, pulverized coal, or catalyst particles, it not only withstands the impact but actually becomes a tighter seal through wear.
● The flange installation offers high tolerance for misalignment, eliminating the need for luck during large-diameter pipeline construction—even with slight on-site misalignment, installation is still possible.
● The triple-offset design ensures that the sealing pressure is determined by the actuator torque, not by the spring force of elastic components. Fluctuations in medium pressure? Simply adjust the torque to maintain zero leakage.
