Operation & Maintenance Guidelines
Proper operation and maintenance are essential for optimal DTH hammer performance and longevity.
  • Under normal rock drilling conditions, service and clean the hammer every 200 hours of operation. For drilling holes or mud slagging, perform maintenance every 100 hours.
  • Lubrication is achieved through the main engine oiling device. Ensure the oiling device is filled before each shift and has surplus oil remaining before the next shift begins. Use No. 20 mechanical oil in summer and No. 5-10 mechanical oil in winter.
  • Before installing the hammer on the drill pipe, operate the exhaust valve to remove debris and check for oil presence in the drill pipe.
  • Never reverse the DTH Hammer and drill rod in the hole to prevent accidents.
  • When stopping drilling, do not immediately stop air supply. Lift the drill and blow it, then stop gas supply when no more rock and rock powder remain in the hole before stopping rotation.
