Operation Procedure

Step 1: Adjust to 0 position by turning the adjusting ring if pointer is not at 0.

Step 2: Press hardness tester perpendicularly onto the sand surface, ensuring gauge plane makes close contact.

Step 3: Read the value when pointer stops, press locking pin to secure reading.

Step 4: Release lock to return pointer to zero position.

Step 5: Perform 3-5 tests per location and calculate average for accurate hardness value.
