The aluminum foil coating melts at 1220°F/660°C, providing extended protection during short exposure to high temperatures. The base fiberglass fabric maintains structural integrity at 1020°F/550°C, while the adhesive system functions up to 572°F/300°C.
While this fireproof bag provides excellent protection against fire damage, prolonged high temperatures may cause paper contents to charbonize. For optimal protection, store the pouch in a drawer (velcro-side face down) near floor level. Remember that the best protection is always fire prevention.
