A simple Lens consists of a single piece of material, while a compound Lens consists of several

simple lenses (elements), usually along a common axis.

Lenses are made from transparent materials such as glass, polymers etc which are ground and

polished to a desired shape.

LED reflectors sit over the LED to alter the beam of light. They are an affordable and easy-to-use

solution for your lighting fitment. However, they do not offer as much control as LED lenses.
