ASMT 301 Seamless Austenitic stainless steel pipe
General Description:
301 stainless steel is a high work hardening rate of austenitic stainless steel, strip and steel wire tensile strength can be up to 1300MPa above, can produce 1/16 hard to fully hardened cold rolled sheet. The strength and hardness of steel can be improved by cold deformation processing, and enough plastic and toughness can be retained. This steel has good corrosion resistance under atmospheric conditions, but it has poor corrosion resistance in reducing media and poor corrosion resistance in chemical media such as acid, alkali and salt, so it is not recommended for harsh corrosion environment. It can maintain enough ductility under 1/2 hardening condition, and can be rolled or bent into aircraft parts, building structural parts, especially train car members. And 3/4 hardened to fully hardened cold rolled sheet should be used in simple component designs requiring high wear resistance and elasticity.
If you need better ductility or to weld thick profile, the use of low carbon 301L is better. Another derivative, 301LN, has a higher nitrogen content that compensates for the lower carbon content
