Retrievable Casing Packer Overview
The Retrievable Casing Packer is a hook-wall full bore packer designed with J-slot mechanical setting mechanism. This compression-set casing packer is ideal for various downhole operations requiring reliable zonal isolation.
Operation Procedure
The packer is set by picking up, rotating left or right, and setting down. When running into the hole, place the J-slot in the locked position. Run slightly below the desired setting position, then pick up to setting position and rotate pipe several turns to the right (only 1/2 turn required for bottom operation). Hold right torque and slack off pipe weight until mechanical slips set and start taking weight, compressing the packer element against the casing wall to isolate the annular from the test zone.
