Product Overview
The Multi-Flow Evaluator features dual control valves that are sequentially opened and closed through drill stem motion. Operating at 70 MPa working pressure, this tool remains closed during descent and opens with a time delay when weight is applied at the bottom. A one-inch drill stem drop provides clear opening indication.
Operation Mechanism
Closing the MFE requires lifting the drill stem through the free point and applying moderate tension before setting weight back down. Re-opening follows the same up-and-down motion sequence. This design enables unlimited shut-in and flow periods for comprehensive chart analysis.
The dual control valves capture pressurized fluid samples during the final flow period, which are transported to surface within the tool string. A choke retainer in the top sub allows flexible bottom choke size configuration.
