Incoloy 800H demonstrates exceptional corrosion resistance in various media. The high nickel content provides excellent stress corrosion cracking resistance in aqueous environments, while the chromium content enhances resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. The alloy performs well in nitric acid and organic acids, though performance in sulfuric and hydrochloric acids is limited. It maintains excellent corrosion resistance in oxidizing and non-oxidizing salts, water, smoke, steam, air, and carbon dioxide mixtures.
