Operating Principle
The air-operated diaphragm pump generates alternating intake and positive fluid pressure in the fluid chamber using air chamber pressure differences. The ball valve ensures forward fluid flow, with automatic cycling that maintains line pressure and resumes operation as needed.
Air Supply Requirements
Use a filter capable of removing particles larger than 50 microns. No additional lubrication is required beyond the factory-applied O-ring lubricant. If lubricated air is used, ensure compatibility with O-rings and seals.
Installation Guidelines
- Flush pump with compatible solvent if material may solidify during inactivity
- Disconnect air supply during extended non-use periods
- Ensure adequate material supply tubing to prevent restrictions
- Install check valve for forced-feed applications
- Secure pump legs to prevent vibration damage
