TRICONEX Invensys 3008 Main Processor Overview
Model 3008 Main Processors (MP) are designed for Tricon v9.6 and later systems. Three MPs must be installed in the Main Chassis of every Tricon system. Each MP independently communicates with its I/O subsystem and executes user-written control programs.
Event Processing Capabilities
During each scan cycle, the MPs monitor designated discrete variables for state changes (events). When an event occurs, the MPs save the current variable state and timestamp in the buffer of an SOE (Sequence of Events) block.
For multiple Tricon systems connected via NCMs (Network Communication Modules), the time synchronization capability ensures consistent time base for accurate SOE timestamping.
