1. Verify all components are present and open out the mesh panels
2. Lift side panels vertically and join using helical spiral with rotating action
3. Continue until helical is fully engaged and locked in place
4. Form all panel joints by assembling adjacent panels with one helical per joint
5. Fill and install stiffener wires until gabion is full
6. Close lid by joining with correct helical while ensuring top mesh bears down on rock fill
