Electric Plating Pump Barrel Description

For this type pump, the barrel is placed into the well with tubing to a specified depth. Considering the limitation of the oil pipe, the diameter of the oil pipe pump is larger than that of all oil rod pumps.

Downhole rod pumps have seven main components:  plungers, barrels, stand and walk valves, valve seat assemblies, draw tubes or valve stems (for insertion into the pump), and fittings that hold the assembled pump together.
