It is used for cementing applications, mostly pumping slurry and releasing plugs. The cement head is connected between the upper end of the casing string and the cementing pipe sink. Cementing heads are fitted to the top joint of the casing string to hold the cement plug before it is pumped down the casing during the cementing operation. Mostly cementing heads can hold both the top and bottom plugs.
