The API 11B Oilfield Polished Rod Sealing Box, also known as a stuffing box, is designed to be installed at the Pumping Well Head. Its primary function is to seal off the Polished Rod using cone packing and a lubricated upper section that allows for self-alignment and prevents packing burnout. By effectively sealing off leakage through fluid pressure, it ensures optimal performance.
There are two options available for the stuffing box: Single Pack and Double Pack. The material used for the cap, glands, body, and base can be either 1045/4130 casting steel or ductile iron, depending on customer preferences. The bottom of the stuffing box is equipped with API gauged threads, specifically designed to match the tubing EUE or LP.
These stuffing boxes are suitable for various rod sizes, including 1", 1.1/8", 1.1/4", 1.1/2", and 1.3/4". They feature a simple structure, facilitating easy installation and convenient maintenance. The single packing or double packing, and even triple packing options ensure effective sealing performance, providing reliability and ensuring optimal operational efficiency.
