Float collar and shoe introduction
Float collar and floate shoe is a kind of casing guide shoe or coupling that can produce buoyancy. Due to the high temperature resistance, good sealing and drillability and convenient connection of float collar and float shoe, they can replace guide shoes, casing shoes, etc. Float collar and shoe can be used not only for general technical casing and reservoir casing, but also for deep wells, ultra deep wells and special process wells.
Application of Single Valve Float Collar and Float Shoe
Float Collar and Float Shoe serves as the backbone of casing equipment used during primary cementing operations. It guides the casing to total depth and prevents contaminated mud from entering the casing. Also it provides a landing point for casing wiper plugs, reinforces the lower end of the casing string, and ensures greater accuracy of cement slurry displacement.
