In-Mold Labeling (IML) involves placing a pre-printed polypropylene (PP) label into a mold that shapes the final product. Molten PP is then added, fusing with the label during curing to create a single integrated unit. This advanced process delivers permanent, waterproof labels that resist corrosion, acids, and alkalis.
IML containers are produced and decorated in a single step, eliminating the need for blank container storage and reducing transport costs. Quick design changeovers can be accomplished with minimal production loss.
