How an Airless Bottle Works

Airless bottles operate on a vacuum-driven dispensing principle:

A. Key Components

1. Outer Shell – Typically made of plastic (PP, PET, ABS) or glass.

2. Pump/Dispenser Head – Pressing it releases the product.

3. Internal Piston (or Collapsible Bag) – Moves upward as the product is dispensed.

4. Base Plate – Seals the bottom and maintains vacuum pressure.

5. Diaphragm (in some designs) – Prevents air from re-entering.

B. Mechanism

• When the pump is pressed, the piston rises, pushing the product out.

• As the product is dispensed, the piston creates a vacuum, preventing air from entering.

• No dip tube is needed (unlike traditional pumps), so nearly 100% of the product is used.
