Materials are fed into the rotating drum where classification occurs. Larger materials flow forward along the drum's inclination and are gradually classified through different mesh screens. Classified small materials fall into respective bunkers and are delivered to finished product stacks via manpower or belt conveyor.

The trommel screen consists of: driving device, coarse material discharge opening, seal cover, drum body, undersize material discharge opening, retaining plate, feed inlet, and bracket.
