1.Description:
INVAR 36 is a nickel-iron, low expansion alloy containing 36% nickel. It maintains nearly constant dimensions over the range of normal atmospheric temperatures, and has a low coefficient of expansion from cryogenic temperatures to about 500° F. The alloy also retains good strength and toughness at cryogenic temperatures.

Generally ASTM F1684 Invar 36 Tubes are immediately available in most volumes, they are available in machined forms such as bar, ingot, ribbon, wire, shot, sheet, and foil. Ultra high purity and high purity forms also include metal powder, submicron powder and nano-scale, targets for thin film deposition, and pellets for chemical vapor deposition (CVD) and physical vapor deposition (PVD)applications.
