Introduction:
BOM Felt is consists of base layer fabric and fiber layer. Base layer is woven from synthetic filament or multi-filament.
The structure is designed based on different paper machines, different press positions and different paper kinds GSM. Fiber layer is consisted of different laps of fiber webs and different diameters of fibers for the best trainability and fiber support indexes. BOM felt is widely applied to different kinds of paper making machines.
Also they are used for dewatering purpose from wet paper conveyed from the forming section in paper machine, smoothing the surface, and transferring the paper without blemishes. The felts are generally made of batt layer and fiber layer used for different PM. Each felt is customized for PM based on below data.
