Pneumatic scraper self-cleaning filters are high-efficiency fluid separation devices. With a mechanical scraping system, they can wipe off solid impurities on the inner side of the filter element automatically and run continuous online filtering operations. Optimized for high-viscosity applications, the equipment tolerates viscosity as high as 800,000 mPa·s and covers filtration fineness from 50 to 1500 microns. It realizes accurate filtration via fast surface scraping, effectively capturing massive pollutants, and is widely applicable to water and multiple viscous fluid treatment.
 
Working Principle For Fully Automated Pneumatic Scraping Self-Cleaning Filter

[Filtration Mode ]

Liquid enters through the inlet.A spring-loaded,disc-shaped scraper presses tightly against the inner surface of the filter element,resting at its upper end.The liquid passes through the scraper and flows outward from the inner surface of the filter element;impurities are trapped on this inner surface,while the filtered liquid exits through the outlet.As time passes,impurities gradually accumulate and the differential pressure rises; consequently,the filter element is cleaned either upon reaching a preset differential pressure threshold or at scheduled intervals.

 

[Cleaning Mode ]

A pneumatic cylinder drives the scraper in a reciprocating vertical motion to clean the filter element.During the downward stroke,impurities are pushed by the scraper toward the bottom of the filter housing,where high-density impurities settle into the dirt collection chamber.During the upward stroke,residual impurities are scraped off and pushed toward the top of the filter element;these impurities are then flushed away by the flowing liquid,pass back through the scraper,return to the inner surface of the filter element,and are subsequently scraped away during the next downward stroke.Each cleaning cycle consists of multiple strokes;once the surface of the filter element has been cleaned,its filtration capacity is restored.Filtration continues uninterrupted during the cleaning process.

 

[Discharge Mode ]

After multiple cleaning cycles,once impurities have accumulated to a certain volume,the discharge valve is opened periodically to expel the waste liquid containing a high concentration of impurities;if necessary,these impurities may also be recovered.
