Performance Characteristics
Corrosion Resistance
Excellent resistance to atmospheric and exhaust gas corrosion. In most environments, a light surface rust may form which inhibits further corrosion.
Heat Resistance
Resistant to scaling in intermittent service up to 815°C (1499°F) and continuous service up to 675°C (1247°F).
Weldability
Readily weldable with pre-heat of 150-260°C (302-500°F) recommended. Post-weld annealing at 760-815°C (1400-1499°F) improves weld ductility.
