A screw conveyor is a continuous conveying equipment that moves materials by means of rotating spiral blades. Its core components include spiral blades, the casing and the driving device.
It is suitable for transporting granular and powder materials. It can be transported horizontally, at an angle or vertically. The structure is compact and the space occupation is small. It is widely used in fields such as chemical industry, mining, and grain processing.
Working principle
The core working principle of a screw conveyor is that the driving device drives the spiral blades inside the casing to rotate. The helical surface of the blades will exert a continuous axial thrust on the materials, overcoming the friction between the materials and the casing as well as the blades, and smoothly transporting the materials from the feed port to the discharge port, thus achieving continuous conveying.
