Measurement Principle
Chemical oxygen demand (COD) measures the oxygen required to chemically oxidize organic substances in water. The sensor utilizes UV254 ultraviolet absorption method, detecting organic absorption at 254nm wavelength to accurately determine COD levels without chemical reagents.
