Product Construction
ACSR is a composite concentric-lay-stranded conductor featuring a galvanized steel core surrounded by one or more layers of EC Grade Aluminum wires. The steel core may consist of single strand or concentric-stranded configurations of 7, 19, 37, or more wires.
Service Performance & Installation Guidelines
- Maximum continuous operating temperature: 70°C
- Maximum stress at sag lowest point in heavy ice areas: ≤60% of short-time destructive power
- Connecting tube installation requires flush alignment and moisture-proof varnish application
- Arc downing stress must be uniform across all conductors during installation
- Permissible stress increase of 10-15% in crossing or ground proximity scenarios
