When the tubing is lowered and the overshot engages the lugs on the plug-retrieving head, the Model 3L bridge plug is retrieved. By applying the torque, the tubing is pulled up. It may be necessary to apply weight if pressure is trapped below the tool. As the torque is applied and the tubing is pulled up, the bypass ports open, and the mechanical slips are retracted to release the bridge plug.
